Welcome to the Saturday Night Curling Club (SNCC)!!! Barrie’s most social, unpredictable, and downright fun curling league! We’re so excited to have you joining us this season.
SNCC is a flexible hybrid-format league that turns every week into its own mini bonspiel. Each Saturday brings a new game style to keep things fresh:
Regular Night (classic six-end curling), Skip Till You Lose (lead the team until you’re dethroned), and Skins Night (every end’s a battle for points). This three-week rotation repeats all season, with one Skills Night to show off what you’ve learned.
Whether you’ve signed up as a team, pair, or free agent, we’ll balance lineups each week using our hybrid team and sub/drop-in system, so there’s always room for new players and friends.
Each curler earns individual points every week, tallied after every game: you get one just for showing up, plus extras for wins, bringing a friend, and completing weekly challenges. At season’s end, the top scorers take home the Golden Broom.
This isn’t just curling, it’s your new Saturday night tradition. Expect music, theme nights (yes, including Drag Night), prizes, and plenty of laughs on and off the ice.
Can’t wait to see you on the ice!

How to Find & Book Available Practice Ice
For the 2025-2026 curling season, unused sheets during league play will be made available as practice ice. If, for example, a league has 48 curlers (12 teams) and only uses 6 sheets, the 7th sheet will be available as practice ice. This approach should help to provide some practice ice at different times of the day and some evenings.
How will this work?

Our club consists of a group of people who love to curl - some more competitively and some more recreationally; and we have leagues and programs to match what our curlers want. Many of us consider fellow members to be great friends and have shared some of the best times of our lives at leagues, bonspiels and the lounge of the Barrie Curling Club.
